We take a look at Sony ODA Optical Disc Archive on Apple MAC, PC, and Linux machines. We also show you can take cartridges to and from the standalone drive to the Petasite library.
We run through seven different durability tests on the Sony optical disc archive (ODA) cartridge. Gen 3 media can store 5.5TB on a single cartridge. The Cartridges can be accessed in a single USB drive or larger robotic library called the Petasite.
We unbox the Pioneer BDR-X12EBK external USB Blu ray burner and burn QL 128GB BDXL disc using ImgBurn on windows 11.
We download and install Imgburn on Windows 11.
We test Farming Chia on both a Blu Ray Jukebox and Sony Petasite Optical Disc Archive system for farming Chia XCH plots. Optical provides a random form of access, unlike tape drives that require sequential access.
