Data is hashed and the checksum checked. The data in motion and at rest is encrypted, and when written to tape can be stored with erasure encoding for further data protection.
The solution supports S3 Object Locks. Thus, retention times and lock periods can be configured on the object and bucket level to prevent the deletion of object versions before predefined retention or legal lock periods expire.
